Tyrone YAN and HOSA to Take the Polar Plunge

Students from TAHS’s YAN and HOSA club will be doing a Polar Plunge at Canoe Creek State Park on February 4, 2017.

The Polar Plunge is a fundraiser for Special Olympics. Members of the two student organizations will “plunge” into the cold water of Canoe Creek Lake to raise money for the Special Olympics.

Seniors Riean Minnich, Alexis Condrack, Daniel Lay, Ieshya Carroll, and Abbey Hagan will be taking the plunge for YAN.

“I’m really excited to [be able to] help out with the cause,” said YAN member Riean Minnich.

Juniors Elina Lure, Tori Crabtree, Dylan Thomas, and Andrew Lang will be doing the plunge for HOSA.

“[I’m] just ready to jump into the lake,” said HOSA member Tori Crabtree.

Donations can be given to team members or HOSA adviser Christie Taylor or YAN advisers Cummins McNitt and Tracy Redinger.  For every dollar that students donate, their name will be put into a drawing for a $25 gift card to Olive Garden.  The drawing will take place Friday February 3rd, the day before the plunge.
