Tyrone Wins Mountain League For Fourth Consecutive Year
Senior Ross Gampe led Tyrone with 20 points, followed by junior Dravyn Crowell with 19 in a 62-43 win at Penn Valley on Friday, February 10.
The win clinched Tyrone’s fourth consecutive Mountain League title.
“It feels good knowing we are the best team in the Mountian League four years in a row. It gives us energy going into the playoffs,” said junior Dravyn Crowell.
Crowell’s mid-range jumper was on target and set the energy for the Golden Eagles.
In addition to his 20 points, Gampe’s work defensively under the rim was also key to limiting Penns Valley’s offensive attack.
Tyrone led 34-17 at halftime and outscored PV every quarter except the fourth when Head Coach George Gripp began subbing out his starters.
