Tyrone Takes a Hard Fall to Central
Tyrone took a hard loss to the Central Dragons on a Saturday game, 7-3.
Central took the lead in the opening minutes of the game by a Central forward getting a lucky goal from Tyrone senior goalkeeper Landon Bungo’s fumbled save.
The Golden Eagles responded shortly after in the same minute on Tyrone senior Kelton Raabe’s cross from the left side of the field, connecting with senior Alex Taylor on the back post, who headed the ball into the upper left of the goal.
As early as the season is Tyrone has not figured out the exact positions where they can utilize all of their strengths and be strong on both the offensive and defensive sides of the field.
At first, things started to fall in place for the Golden Eagles with not having any goals in their first 2 matches.
Central scored two more times before the end of the first half putting them ahead by 3 goals.
The half ended 4-1 with Central having a huge lead and advantage.
“As long as we implement the concepts we have been drilling we will be able to turn this game around,” said Head coach Alex Bartlett.
Tyrone started off strong in the second half with another Raabe to Taylor connection. With Raabe sliding Taylor through the backline for an easy finish making the score 4-2.
Central quickly returned with three more into the back of Tyrone’s net.
Tyrone continued to fight and Taylor put one more into the back of the net assisted by Raabe. Taylor finished the game with a hat trick. The Golden Eagles lost, 7-3.
This loss takes the Golden Eagles record down to 0-3, but Bartlett is confident that the boys will beat them at home later this season.
