Tyrone Swimmers Split with Hollidaysburg
The Tyrone boys and girls swim teams battled the Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers, with the boys coming up winners and the girls losing by a wide margin.
Top finishers for the boys were Bishop Guilfoyle’s Isaac Yeskey, who earned first in the 50 free with a 25.5, and Brandon Bus followed in second with a 27.9. Tyrone’s Brady Ronan trailed in 4th with a 31.2.
Other top finishers for the Golden Eagle boys were Dylan Eckenrode, who won the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:15.86, and Lucas Bonsel, who won the 100 Butterfly with a time of 1:03.87.
Tyrone boys won the meet with a score of 97-55.
The girl’s 200 Freestyle relay took first with a time of 2:12.73. This team included Kierstan Friday, Sophia Cowher, Ireland Cherry, and Evalyna Aiken.
The girls were defeated with a score 121-31.
