The Lady Eagles took a big 10-5 win over rival the Lady Blue Devils in the annual softball edition of the Backyard Brawl.

Sophomore Amariah Sprankle led the team in hits going 3 for 4 with two singles and a double.

The team collected 11 hits. Senior Tiffany Tuskovitch, Sprankle, and junior Layna Dibert had two RBIs each.

Junior Sam Shaw also had two hits for the Lady Eagles.

Tyrone opened the game with a four-run top of the first inning. Bellwood responded with two runs in their half of the inning, and in the bottom of the third Bellwood tied the game 5-5.

But Tyrone responded in the top of the fourth. Lucy Fogleman grounded out scoring a run then another off an error making the score 7-5.

Winning pitcher Kaitlyn Rockwell only gave up 5 hits and one earned run in a seven-inning complete game. Rockwell had six strikeouts and only walked two batters.

The Lady Eagles also had two double plays from Maddy Harper in right field and Amariah Sprankle at short.
