Tyrone traveled away to Westmont for the “Teal Out” on Saturday morning for an out-of-conference match.
The hour-long drive was extended to 1 hour and 40 minutes due to a miscommunication regarding the directions to the field.
Despite this obstacle, Tyrone came into the game looking to be the first team to shut out Westmont and take home the win.
The first half started, and Tyrone retained possession to control the game. When Westmont lacked technical skill and knowledge in specific positions, they made up for it with physicality.
The game was very chippy, and Tyrone fought harder to play above Westmont’s level.
15 minutes into the game, Noah Gulvas was pulled down in the box and drew a foul. Grant Miller took the penalty and found the back of the net.
The Eagles continued to play hard after the second half closed. They kept their focus and played their style.
The Golden Eagles held out for a 1-0 win.

The Eagles played a complete game, and they took home their 11th win. Improving their record to 11-5.
