The Tyrone boys and girls track teams both had a strong showing at the Bellwood Invitational. The boys had nine athletes place in the top eight and the girls had eight in the top eight.
The only Tyrone athletes to win an event were Brady Ronan, who won the long jump with a 20’9.75 feet jump, Bree Paul, who won the girls 300 meter hurdles with a time of 47.46 and Rebecca Lewis, who was a double winner in the 100 meter dash (12.69), and the 200 meter dash (26.54)
Second place finishers for the Eagles were Ethan McCloskey in the 800 with a time of 2:08.35 and Brady Ronan in the 100 meter dash (11.46).
Third place finishers were Nicole Ramsey in the long jump (16-1) and Addison Warren in the pole vault (9-0).
Rocky Romani placed fourth in the 400m dash, finishing in 52.55 seconds. Other fourth place finishers were Brady Ronan in the 200 meter dash (23.16), Aiden Detwiler in the 1600 meter run (4:40.85, and on the girls side Sophia Witkamp was 4th in the 3200 meter run (6:16.24).
In fifth place was Josie Dicken in the shotput (29-3.5), Alayna Green in the high jump (4-8).
In seventh place was Rebecca Lweis in teh long jump (15-5) and Elli Woomer in the triple jump (37-11.25).
In eighth place was Taylor Wrye in the 800 meter run (2:37.57), Drayvn Crowell in the 100 meter dash (11.82), Ashton Emigh is the javelin (135-11) and Cian Hockenberry in the shotput (39-4)
Tyrone’s boys relay teams also all had some impressive performances, as they all found top-3 spots on the podium.
The 4×100 relay secured a second place finish (44.51), edging out the Central Scarlet Dragons that had previously beaten the Golden Eagles twice. The 4×800 relay team(8:33.89) and 4×400 team (3:35.27) achieved third place finishes.
On the girls side, the 4×400 relay finished second (4:17.26).
