Tyrone Library & Camp Anderson to Host 5K Zombie Run
As a part of Camp Anderson’s annual Fear Fest event, Camp Anderson and Tyrone-Snyder Public Library are partnering to host a “Zombie 5K Run” on Saturday, October 23, 2021.
Runners, walkers, and of course zombies are welcome to participate in this family fun run. Runners and walkers will compete in the race, and the costumed zombies will interact with runners for a unique and fun experience.
Zombies will be placed in “Zombie Zones” along the course. As racers run through these zones, they will try to avoid the zombies pulling off their flags. No zombie is allowed to make contact with any runners or walkers unless they are pulling off a flag. Runners with the most flags left at the end of the race will win a prize.
Many awards will be given to individuals, including male and female overall winners, male and female with all their flags left on at the finish line, best-dressed runner, and best-dressed zombie.
Anyone may register for the race as a runner, walker, or zombie.
Runners and walkers can sign up between now and October 1st for $30 and a free t-shirt, between October 1st and October 21st for $30, and race day registration will be available on October 23rd between 8-8:30 am for $35.
