Tyrone Junior has Musical Aspirations
Junior Dale Kensinger started making music in ninth grade, and in a short period of time has learned to pay the guitar, bass, drums, and synth. Using these, Kensinger has made various songs that he has posted on his Soundcloud.
“Finding something new and talking about it with people is what I like most about music,” said Kensinger.
Kensinger is interested in many kinds of music. His favorite artists are Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails and Atticus Ross because they are his biggest inspirations.
“My solo stuff is like lo-fi sound; (it’s) kind of hip-hop. it’s mostly electronic stuff, but I would like to add lyrics when I start my own band. My favorite thing to add to my songs are melodies,” said Kensinger.
Lo-fi is a type of sound recording which contains technical flaws that make the recording sound different. Kensinger doesn’t have his own band yet, but he plays at his church and has jam sessions with his friends.
“I want to make music my profession. I would like to compose music for video games and movies,” said Kensinger.
Dale has produced a theme song for his fellow student Conner Gority. Who has his own book series called Elderquest.
“He makes really awesome stuff. He made this theme a while back for me and I think it’s pretty good! DaleStep is going somewhere,” said Conner Gority.
Dale has a few active listeners already. Some students at Tyrone have already discovered his music.
“His music is pretty catchy and has a rhythmic beat, “ said junior Riley Heidenthal.
