Tyrone Indoor Percussion to Hold Tag Day Event
The Tyrone indoor percussion ensemble will hold a tag day event on Saturday, April 7, 2018. The event will help the indoor percussion ensemble to collect money to use for paying the transportation costs for The Atlantic Coast Championships in Wildwood, New Jersey. The event will begin at 8 am and will run until 3 pm.
Tag day is when someone stands outside of a business and is asking people who are going to these various businesses to give a donation towards the group for multiple uses within the organization.
The ensemble hopes to use the money collected from this event to pay for transportation costs to Wildwood, New Jersey for the TIA Atlantic Coast Championships.
The students will stand outside of Sam’s Club in Altoona and in town, students will stand at Village Pantry, Save-A-Lot, Warriors Mark Martins, Tyrone Convenience, Ace Hardware, and Burger King to collect donations.
The ensemble would hope for the people of Tyrone to help by giving a donation to the students so they have an opportunity to compete for a chance to win in Wildwood, New Jersey.
