Tyrone Indoor Percussion Places First At Westmont Hilltop High School
The Tyrone indoor percussion ensemble performed at Westmont Hilltop High School on March 10, 2018, and placed first in their division with a total score of 70.20.
“I’m very happy with our jump in our score and we are simply continuing to add more onto the show and improve our musicality and ability to work together each week,” said Band Director David Hock.
Tyrone Senior Rachel Robison was awarded the Sheetz Performer Of The Week award for her outstanding performance at the show.
The remaining competitions remaining in the 2018 indoor season are Jersey Shore, Johnstown, TIA Chapter 11 Championships at St. Mary’s High School, and the Atlantic Coast Championships in Wildwood, New Jersey.
In the current tournament rankings, the percussion ensemble is ranked in 12th place with a score of 70.20.
The indoor percussion will be traveling to Jersey Shore High School on Saturday, March 24th and will be the final competition before the Chapter 11 Championships and the Atlantic Coast Championships in Wildwood, New Jersey. The indoor percussion ensemble will compete against the Mifflin County High School stationary percussion ensemble. The Tyrone percussion ensemble will perform at 4:18 pm following Mifflin County.
