Tyrone Indoor Percussion Places First And Guard Places Fifth At Johnstown
The Tyrone indoor percussion ensemble performed at Johnstown High School this past weekend and placed first in their division with a total score of 86.00. The indoor color guard achieved a score of 65.38 and placed fifth in their division.
“Saturday was the first that we performed the entire show. We have been working tirelessly each week to gradually learn parts of the show. Having performed the whole show, we are very ecstatic about having a 10 point jump in score. Now our goal is to clean and improve what we have to make it the most musically engaging and entertaining show that we possibly can,” said Band Director David Hock.
The remaining competitions left in the 2017 indoor season are the TIA Chapter 11 Championships at Tyrone High School, and the TIA Atlantic Coast Championships in Wildwood, New Jersey.
In the current TIA rankings the percussion team is ranked third with a 86.00 and the guard is ranked 38th with a 65.38.
The Tyrone indoor percussion and color guard will host the TIA Chapter 11 Championships at Tyrone High School on April 29th,2017. The color guard will perform at 12:52pm and the percussion will perform at 2:12pm. This is the last show before the Atlantic Coast Championships in Wildwood, New Jersey on May 4th through May 7th.
