The Star-Lite Indoor Competition Teams and Tyrone’s Indoor Percussion and Color Guard all participated in a competition on Saturday, March 22, at Huntingdon Area High School.
All five teams demonstrated significant skill development this past week and improved their performances from previous competitions.
At the Huntingdon competition, Tyrone’s Indoor Percussion competed for the first time since the Tyrone home show on February 22. Their score jumped from 77.40 to 81.30 at this competition, placing first in their category.
All three Star-Lite teams placed first in their categories, marking their fourth consecutive clean sweep this season.
Tyrone’s Indoor Color Guard also had a score increase of 4.04 points, scoring a 70.14, and placing second in their category.
Star-Lite’s Senior Twirlers increased their score 1.31 points from their previous score of 79.31, scoring 80.62.
Star-Lite’s Novice Junior Twirlers had a very slight decrease of 0.08 points, scoring 76.84 at this competition.
Star-Lite’s Dance Team increased its score 2.38 points, scoring 78.58 at this competition.
With only five weeks until the teams make their way to Wildwood, New Jersey, for their final competitions, they are all working incredibly hard to improve their routines and perform to their full potential.
All five teams will perform again this Saturday, March 29, at the Forest Hills Junior/Senior High School.
