Tyrone FFA to hold fresh strawberry sale

The Tyrone Area Agricultural Education Program will sell fresh strawberries as a fundraiser from Monday, February 2nd until February 19th.

The students are raising funds to pay for the Farm Bureau Mobile Ag Lab, which will allow our pre-K thru 4th grade to have hands-on, standards align curriculum in the area of agriculture and food nutrition.

The strawberries come in one pound plastic containers and can be ordered in the following amounts:

  • Full Flat – 8 containers (8 pounds) – $29
  • ½ Flat – 4 containers (4 pounds) – $15
  • 2 Containers (2 pounds) – $8

Orders will be delivered on March 9 with pickup starting that day and evening.  There is no shipping costs and they are shipped directly from the growers to our program.

The FFA’s goal is to sell 108 flats.

Those interested can place and order with any FFA member (he/she will get credit for the order) or by going online to http://www.freshfruitorder.org/tyroneffa.

“Please share and don’t miss out on this great opportunity.  Thank you for helping us to make a difference in the lives of students!” said Hunter Confer strawberry sale chairperson.
