Tyrone FFA Selling Fresh Local Sausage
More stories from Karly Diebold
The Tyrone Area FFA is selling fresh crumbled sausage until October 2.
The sausage comes from local hogs raised by an FFA chapter member and packaged locally by Brenneman’s Meat Market, a USDA certified market.
The sausage sale is one of the main fundraisers for the Tyrone FFA chapter.
This fundraiser, and others like it, help to pay for FFA trips to places like the Pennsylvania Farm Show, and conferences like the FFA Fall Leadership Conference.
The funds are also used to provide refreshments at FFA events and meetings, awards to members at the annual banquet, FFA jackets to chapter members, and various classroom resources.
The sausage is available in 1-pound rolls, 5-pound rolls, and 10-pound rolls.
A one pound roll is $3.75, five pounds is $17.50, and 10 pounds is $32.50.
Pickup will be Tuesday, October 22 at the TAHS agriculture education room.
Sausage can be ordered by contacting any Tyrone Area FFA chapter member, or agriculture educator and FFA advisor Tiffany Hoy.
