Tyrone falls to Clearfield 65-40
Clearfield dominated this game from the tip. Bison senior Tommy Hazel and league MVP Will Myers could not be slowed down.
Clearfield’s offense had an answer for everything that Tyrone threw at them and controlled the tempo of the game from start to finish.
Although there was some controversial officiating, Tyrone just wasn’t playing to their full potential.
“It definitely wasn’t our night, but we know we can beat them. We’ll be looking forward to playing them at home,” said Tyrone Head Coach George Gripp.
Tyrone’s shooting and scoring just wasn’t there. Tyrone’s sharpshooter wasn’t hitting, and point guard Jake Meredith was nearly shut down by the Bisons’ Tommy Hazel.
Tyrone will look to bounce back from the loss, playing Tussey Mountain in the annual Reliance Bank Holiday Tournament.
