Tyrone Lady Eagles fell to Central Lady Dragons 3-2 on senior night. The Lady Eagles lost a heartbreaker on a last minute goal scored by the Lady Dragons’s Shaw.

“It was an emotional game being that it was senior night but our girls played their hearts out. I’m so thankful for being part of a team like this,” said senior captain Madison Soellner. 

Tyrone started the game off when freshman Eliza Vance broke pass the defensive line and scored in the first two minutes of the game.

Central then came back and scored in the twenty-second minute.

Chloe LaRosa then responded to that goal two minutes later when she got a pass from Bellwood’s Alyson Partner and she headed for the goal. That made it 2-1 Tyrone at the half.

In the second half, Central came out aggressive and tied the game when Bartley broke past Tyrone’s defense and scored on a one-on-one with the goalie.

Both teams continued to play hard trying to get ahead in the game. The game remained tied until the last minute of the game when Central’s Shaw scored the winning goal when Eicher crossed the ball in front of her and Shaw took the winning shot.

With Central’s goal being in the last minute of the game, Tyrone had little time to get another goal and Central won the game. 

This game leaves Tyrone with a final record of 5-12 on the season.   Central ends with a record of 7- 10.
