Tyrone Falls in OT to BEA
The Tyrone and Bald Eagle boys went toe to toe on Tyrone’s Senior Night, but in the end, it was BEA who earned the overtime victory, 52-51.
The score was tied 10-10 at the end of one, and 21-21 at the end of two periods.
The score remained tied as the two teams traded baskets and turnovers until the end of the 3rd quarter when Tyrone took the lead by two points, 36-34.
But BEA was able to tie it up before the final buzzer, sending the game into overtime.
Senior Ross Gampe led the first Tyrone score in overtime with a baseline cut and a dump down from Andrew Escala, followed by a 3 from senior Zac LeGars.
Senior Zac LeGars led the team with 18 points, including four from outside the arc, and senior Ross Gampe also had 12 points.
With the loss, Tyrone fell to 11-7 on the season.
