Led by seniors Sam Crilly and Kendall Lehner, Tyrone defeated the Bellefonte Red Raiders 71-46 in a regular season game road game.
Crilly and Lehner both scored over 20 points and played stellar defense to propel Tyrone to a late second-half lead to seal the game.
Crilly scored 17 points in the first half, shooting the lights out of the gym and making great passes to teammates. Although Lehner was ill during the game he still flew around the court and crashed boards.
The Red Raiders were not able to get in a rhythm the entire game and had to rely on a few select players to get to the basket and score.
The Golden Eagle defense was able to recognize this and crash together in the paint and force Bellefonte to shoot.
By the end of the first half Tyrone already had a comfortable lead and had the perfect game plan to stop the Red Raiders.
Domination continued in the final minutes of the game as some reserves were able to get some valuable minutes and close the game out for Tyrone in a 25 point victory.
This victory improved Tyrone’s record to 15-4 on the year and gave them more confidence to finish out the regular season and head into the playoffs where they will take on Penn Cambria on 2/21 in the District Quarterfinals.
