Coming off two straight losses, Tyrone bounced back with a big win over Mountain League rival Clearfield on Tuesday with a 75-43 victory.

The Eagles came firing from all cylinders taking a 19-9 lead after the first quarter. The rally didn’t just last one quarter either, as in the second they scored 24 points and took a 43-23 lead at the half.

“The way we played this whole game is how we need to play every game. We ran well and got everyone involved. Big team win,” said senior Jake Meredith.

The third was slow for both teams as they both combined for only 20 total points.

Tyrone picked it up again in the fourth as they put up 20 more and pulled away for the lopsided victory.

Tyrone’s senior Dylan Thomas ead all scorers with 25 points, including 5 from beyond the arc.

“I loved how the guys played tonight. They played very unselfish and never stopped pushing the ball,” said head coach George Gripp.
