Cort Rhoades

Tyrone lost a tough game 78-60 against 6A Williamsport on Saturday.

Tyrone was looking forward to this team because of the good competition. These two teams met last year and Tyrone came out on top in a close game on Tyrone’s home floor.

But the home-court advantage went Williamsport’s way this time.

Senior Landen DeHaas led Tyrone in scoring with 20 points while Cortlynd Rhoades added 13.

Tyrone started off strong for the first three quarters and the lead went back and forth. Late in the 4th quarter, Williamsport pulled away with a 15-0 run.

Tyrone played a tough game in an unfamiliar place against an unfamiliar team. Despite the loss, the game should help propel the Eagles into playoffs.
