Tyrone bounces back, dominates CM Wildcats 61-0 on Senior Night
Offense is key for the Golden Eagles
After a tough loss last week to Clearfield, the Golden Eagles responded in a big way against Central Mountain. Sixty-one big ways to be exact.
“We had the right game plan from the outset,” said senior linebacker Jake Makdad, “we were confident heading in and still feeling the effects of last week’s loss. This was a huge win for us.”
Seniors Silas Crawford and Aleic Hunter highlighted Friday’s action, both scoring three touchdowns. Crawford took two long punt returns for scores an added a receiving touchdown as well.
Hunter ended the day with thirteen carries for 147 yards and three scores.
“The credit goes to the blockers down field for helping set me up to score,” said Crawford, “when the big guys do their jobs up front and down field it frees up us fast guys to coast to the endzone.”
Along with a Garrett Hunter touchdown pass to Nick Getz and a Dwayne Boone touchdown run, Tyrone dropped a staggering fifty-five points in the first half.
Their dominance also shined on defense as they held the Wildcats to a dismal 106 yards of total offense.
Tyrone scored one final time in the third quarter on a Bry Taylor one yard touchdown run.
The Eagles played their junior varsity players in the second half.
The Golden Eagles look to build off this resounding win and look ahead to their next game against Penns Valley.
