Down 7-0, Tyrone Bocce found themselves in a tough spot in the second round of their match against Southern Huntingdon, but the Golden Eagles rallied to pull off the biggest comeback in the short history of Tyrone Bocce.
“This was the most intense game of the season thus far. The team did well to get over the fact that they were losing and losing big to be able to come back and get the win,” Assistant Coach Kate Coltabaugh said.
The team won the first frame handily, 11-2, but in the second, the game got interesting.
In the middle of the second frame, Southern Huntingdon piled on points and got out to what seemed like an insurmountable seven-point lead.
With some help from measurement and some great rolls, Tyrone came back to win the second frame 10-9.
The team played great, especially in the last couple of minutes to secure the win and one seed in the playoffs.
