The Tyrone Golden Eagles came away with a much needed victory Friday as they destroyed Williamsburg 24-11.
Tyrone looked solid on offense, racking up 17 hits while scoring 24 runs.
Senior Tristan Lingafelt led the Eagles in RBI’s with six while adding three hits.

Williamsburg fought back though on offense cutting the lead to just 17-11 with Tyrone leading in the bottom of the 6th.
But Tyrone added seven more runs in the seventh, then shut down Williamsburg in the bottom which concluded the high scoring game.
“I’m glad we got the win. We struggled at first on defense, but we picked it up on offense and didn’t look back.” Lingafelt said.
Matt Brennamen started the game on the mound. He was relieved by Hunter Jackson. Then Tristan Lingafelt came in to close in the seventh and secured the win for Tyrone.
Tyrone improved their record to 3-8. They’ll hit the road again on Tuesday as they face Mountain League opponent Clearfield Bisons.
