The Tyrone track teams faced the cold and rain to compete at the Bedford invite this past Saturday. Despite the challenging weather, both teams saw a lot of individual success. The girls placed 4th, and the boys placed 8th.

On the girls side, Mackenzie Latchford won 4th in the 100 with a time of 13.32. Eliza Vance earned 3rd in the 400 with a time of 1:05.33. Eva Toth received 4th in the 100 hurdles with a time of 18.27. The team of Eva Toth, Mackenzie Latchford, Natalie Saltsgiver, and Reagan Irons earned 3rd in the 4×1 relay with a time of 52.72.

The girls dominated the jumps, having many place within the top five, inclduding Reagan Irons who won the triple jump with a 34-8 and the high jump with a 5-0. Mackenzie Latchford earned 2nd in the long jump, jumping 17-0.5. Reagan Irons was close behind, earning 4th and jumping 15-9.85. Natalie Saltsgiver earned 5th in the high jump with a 4-8.

The boys were also very dominant in the jumping events. Brady Ronan won the long jump with a 20-3, and Jake Johnson earned 4th with a 19-9.5. Andrew Weaver earned 2nd in the high jump with a 5-8, and Jake Johnson was close behind, earning another 4th with a 5-6.

The track teams are at Huntingdon on Tuesday and at Juniata Valley on Thursday.
