Tyrone Area FFA Members hosting 2nd Annual Clay Shoot
The Tyrone Area FFA Chapter will host their second annual Fun Clay Shoot at Warriors Mark Wingshooting Lodge in Ginter, PA on Sunday, September 21st at 12:30 pm.
“The clay shoot is one of our three major fundraisers for the Agricultural Education Program. The proceeds are used for leadership development conferences, travel to competitions, classroom and shop supplies, and our annual banquet in March,” said Shaye Loose, Chapter Vice President.
Students have been working since mid-summer on event details.
“Mrs. Hoy believes this is a student run organization, so we have a committee of students who sent letters to potential sponsors, created the t-shirt, and will assist with all aspects of the actual event on September 21,” added Loose.
“As co-chairman, it has been interesting to see how you need to create a budget both for income and expenses. We also had to create SMART goals to ensure we have clear objectives for the chapter. It really puts the event into perspective,” said Kaitland Lynch.
This year participants will have the opportunity to shoot 50 targets in the Lewis scoring system. They will also receive an event t-shirt and a hot lunch.
The cost is $25.00 per participant.
Those interested should contact Tiffany Hoy, FFA Advisor at [email protected] or 814-684-4240 ext. 3131 to receive a registration form.
Registration will also be accepted the day of the event. The event begins at 12:30 PM.
