Entering the 2024 season the Steelers had more questions than answers after trading Kenny Pickett and signing Justin Fields and Russel Wilson.
But Mike Tomlin’s club have answered those questions so far. The Steelers have won 8 of their first 10 games and are not looking back.
They started off the season with quarterback Justin Fields who led them to 4-2 losing to the Indianapolis Colts and the Dallas Cowboys.
Despite this great start from Fields Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin made the switch from young Justin Fields to veteran Super Bowl winner, Russell Wilson.
Fields and Wilson were both acquired in the off-season and made many Steeler fans excited for the upcoming season.
When Tomlin made the switch after Wilson came off the injury report some fans were weary and even aggravated because they believed Fields proved himself and deserved the spot. Wilson made his first start in week 7 versus the New York Jets led by Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers. He ended up winning that game and the next 3 playing the New York Giants, the red hot Washington Commanders, and the legendary Baltimore Ravens.
This starts Wilson with a record of 4-0 with the Steelers and a Steelers record of 8-2.
The upcoming schedule for the Steelers is a mix of AFC north matchups and great NFC teams and none other than the Kansas City Chiefs led by Patrick Mahomes. This will really challenge the Steelers and will prove how good they really are.
If Wilson and the Steelers can keep it up they will be in a serious position to make a great run to the Super Bowl.
After the win against the Baltimore Ravens, the Steelers are looking ahead and are one step closer to the Super Bowl.
The defense really showed how good they really are by holding the best offense in the league to 16 points and winning the game with just field goals.
If they can keep this up, there will be nothing in Mike Tomlin’s Steeler’s way to a 7th championship.
