The Tyrone Area FFA Clay Shoot was hosted on October 7 at the Warriors Mark Wingshooting Lodge and Kennels in Ginter. A total of 77 shooters came to take part in the event and help the chapter to shatter their fundraising goal.

The overall winners for the Lewis Class scoring system used for the shoot were Mick Markel in Class A, Ryan Fleck in Class B, Richard Rice in Class C, Mark Cushion in Class D, Leo Veit in Class E, and Wade Hendrickson was the top junior shooter. Each of these participants received a $25 gift card.

“I liked having the opportunity to shoot with my stepdad, and I even got lucky and won, so that’s a plus,” said Wade Hendrickson.

FFA members served as trappers and had fun interacting with the community and other members of the chapter. They each had their own part in making the day better through their leadership qualities.

“I enjoy going to the clay shoot and I encourage people to take part in it as well. It’s really fun to interact with a bunch of new people and have a good time together,” said Chapter President MaKenna LaRosa.
