TAHS Marching Band Takes First at Brockway
The Tyrone Area High School’s Marching Band took first place at the Brockway competition on Saturday, September 29th. A total of seven marching bands performed at the Brockway competition.
Tyrone played in the 1-A class, receiving a TOB score of 84.545 which is the highest score so far this season.
“The performance was okay, but we could’ve done a lot better. Music wise the show was amazing, but the marching was very mediocre. I would like to see clean marching by the Johnstown Performance,” said freshman snare player Jacob Greene.
The band is currently in third place for the TOB rankings. Last week Tyrone was ranked second in TOB rankings.
On Saturday, October 13th the band will travel to Johnstown for Johnstown’s Home show. The band will have an opportunity to increase their score and ranking. The show starts at 5:00 pm. Tyrone performs at 6:15 pm.

I enjoyed seeing other bands perform on the field but I mostly enjoy playing out on the field with the rest of the band.
