Swim Team Splits Central Cambria Meet on Valentine’s Day
The girls swim team outscored Central Cambria 117-53 on February 14th. The boys team lost close meet by a score of 80-88.

Girls: Tyrone- 117, Central Cambria- 53
The team of Lucia Isenberg, Sarah Hoover, Sarah Manna, and Cate Baran won the 200 medley relay event. Two other relay teams also secured first places in the 200 free and 400 free relay events.
Fiona McConnell, Maddie Coleman, and Mae Decker all were double individual winners from the meet.
McConnell placed first in both the 200 IM (2:38.27) and 100 breast event (1:17.57).
Coleman won the 50 free (26.66) and 100 fly (1:13.46).
M. Decker earned first place in the 500 free and 100 back. She dropped a second in the 500 free to finish with a 6:08.75 and two seconds in the back event to place with a 1:08.69.
S. Hoover worked for a first in the 200 free and a second in the 100 breast (1:18.51). She improved by two seconds in the free event for a final time of 2:19.38.
Freshman Isenberg stole a second place in the 100 free with a time of 1:07.64.
Junior Hannah Gampe secured a second place in the 500 free to finish with a 7:11.42 time.
Sophomore Baran placed second in the 100 back and third in the 200 free (2:27.96). She worked off a second in the back event for a final time of 1:13.82.
Callie Maceno earned third place in the 200 IM with a 3:04.47 time.
Bellwood’s Jamyson Focht took third place in the 50 free. Her time was 29.13.
Junior Gwen Dougherty secured two third places in both the 100 free (1:10.51) and 100 breaststroke (1:32.60).
Junior Emma Hoover dropped three seconds from her previous time in the 200 IM to place with a final time of 3:12.06.
Boys: Tyrone-80 , Central Cambria- 88
Jacob Decker, Colin Yaudes, Matt Lenze, and Bryce Bauer secured first in the 200 medley relay.
Lenze and J. Decker were the only two double individual winners from the boys team.
Lenze won the 100 fly (1:04.59) and 100 breast (1:10.64).
J. Decker secured two first places in the 100 free (56.14) and 100 back (1:05.41).
Freshman Yaudes placed first in the 200 IM (2:37.58) and third in the 100 breast (1:18.41).
Senior Matt Beam worked for a second place in the 200 IM. He dropped three seconds from his previous time in the event to finish with a time of 2:53.08.
Junior Carter Maceno earned two second places in the 100 fly (1:15.21) and 500 free event. After dropping two seconds from his previous time in the 500, his final time was 6:36.19.
Senior Bauer took second place in the 200 free and third in the 50 free (27.46). He worked off a second in the 200 free for a time of 2:17.14.
Bellwood freshman Hunter Gregg secured two third places in both the 200 free (2:18.32) and 500 free (6:43.16).
