Eagle Eye: What does working within Tyrone school district mean to you?

Beth Cannistraci: When I decided to go into education, I knew that I wanted to teach in Tyrone. I was blessed with having so many phenomenal teachers when I went to school here, so I want to do my best to help guide other young adults from the community.

EE: How have you gone above and beyond to help your students? 

BC: Over the years, I have had the pleasure of working with so many amazing teachers.  I try to mirror their qualities that resonated the most with me.

EE: What is your favorite thing about working with students?

BC: My favorite thing about working with students is the relationships you build.  I genuinely care about my students – academically, socially, and emotionally.

EE: What is the most important part of your job?

BC: In my opinion, the most important part of my job is to help students on their journey of becoming the best version of themselves.  If I have been able to help them in any way, then I feel honored.

EE: Who inspired you to become the teacher or staff member you are? 

BC: I have had countless mentors and other teachers that I try to emulate.  First and foremost, my parents have had a tremendous impact on who I am.  Their morals, integrity, service, respect, and dedication is unmatched both in the school and community at large.
