Student Teacher Spotlight: Mr. Trevor Pawlik
Penn State student Trevor Pawlik from Scranton, PA is student teaching with Mr. Funicelli this semester. Pawlik is working toward his teaching certification in secondary education and chemistry.
“Student teaching life is crazy, fun, inspiring, and busy. But [teaching] is the best part of my day,” said Pawlik.
Pawlik’s favorite thing about Tyrone is the student body. He admires the fact that the students are accepting, alert, and engaged in whatever they learn.
Pawlik would eventually like to teach in a rural school, ideally near his home school district of North Pocono, or even in Tyrone.
“I became a teacher because I can explain subjects in a clear and easy manner, and I like to help people achieve their goals,” said Pawlik.
Pawlik’s hobbies and interests include fishing, skiing, running both long and short distance, archery, cooking, and of course, chemistry.
