There are just two weeks left to stock up on Halloween candy before the big day on October 31, and the Eagle Eye is here to help!

We polled all Tyrone Area Middle and High School students and asked them to identify their most and least favorite Halloween candy. We sent a survey out to all students and teachers in grades 6-12 and got over 330 responses.

And what did we learn?

If you don’t want to get “tricked” this Halloween, don’t give out black licorice, but if you’re looking for smiles from the trick-or-treaters on your front porch, stock up on Kit Kats.

Black licorice was voted the most hated candy by a large margin – 192 of the 322 responses named it one of their most hated candies. The next least favorite candies were Hot Tamales and Circus Peanuts.

On the flip side, Kit-Kats were preferred by 221 of the 322 responses. The runners-up for student’s favorite candy were Twix, M&M’s, Jolly Ranchers, and Reese’s Cups.
