The TAHS Student Council is giving back to the community by collecting toys for the Toys For Tots Foundation.
The collection began on October 14th and ends on November 22nd.
Student Council Advisors Michele Marasco and Chelsey Markel presented the idea to the club at their last meeting.
“This is a great opportunity to get students involved in the local community to help families in need during the Holiday season,” Marasco said.
There are some requirements for the toys donated and collected. They will be accepting new, unwrapped toys, homemade toys, and books, which are all currently needed.
Please do not donate used toys, toys that look like realistic weapons, toys with candy or food, and toys with chemicals, otherwise, they will not be collected.
Marasco encourages all that can to donate.
“Help spread joy during the Holiday season for children who are part of a family experiencing economic hardships. One small gift could make a huge difference to those that may not receive gifts during this time,” Marasco said.
Please drop off all donations to Mrs. Marasco’s room (231) or Ms. Markel’s room (238).
Anyone interested in making a monetary donation, visit the Blair County Toys for Tots website.
