The Star-Lite Indoor Competition Teams and the Tyrone Color Guard team both achieved first-place wins in their respective categories at their competition at Glendale Area High School on Saturday, March 15.
All four teams showed remarkable dedication and skill, each claiming first place in their categories. it was Star-Lite’s third consecutive clean sweep this season.

This marks Tyrone Color Guard’s first first-place win with the Tournament Indoor Association since their inaugural season in 2023.
“I was super excited when we won! It was super cool to see everyone’s hard work pay off,” Tyrone Color Guard senior Lily Whited said. “I’m super proud of myself and everyone else for everything they’ve put into guard, especially considering we’ve faced a few setbacks. It was definitely the highlight of my senior year.”

Tyrone Color Guard scored 66.10 at this show, a 3.21-point increase from their score of 62.89 at the Tyrone competition.
Star-Lite’s Senior Twirlers scored 79.31, which is a remarkable 5.62-point increase from their score of 73.69 at the Central Mountain competition.
Star-Lite’s Novice Junior Twirlers scored 76.92, a 2.98-point increase from their score of 73.94 also at the Central Mountain competition.
Star-Lite’s Dance Team scored 76.20 at this show, marking an incredible 5.22-point jump from their previous score of 70.98 at the Central Mountain competition.
With only about six weeks remaining until the finale in Wildwood, New Jersey, all of the competing units are putting forth their best efforts to polish and perfect their performances.
All of the Star-Lite Teams, and both Tyrone’s Percussion and Color Guard compete next at the Huntingdon High School on Saturday, March 22.
