After spending two weeks of postponed games and inside practices, the Lady Eagles finally got a chance to play a game against the Lady Bearcats of Huntingdon, but the Lady Eagles could not come up with a win.
The Bearcats came out strong and scored two runs in the top of the first inning, one of which was due to a Tyrone fielding error.
The Lady Eagles had trouble scoring but drove in a run during the bottom of the second when hit a bomb over the fence in left-center, making the score 2-1 in favor of the Bearcats.
Unfortunately, the Lady Eagles were not able to score any more runs after that.
The Bearcats were not able to score again until the 7th inning, when they scored 1 run off of an error. This made the final score of the game 3-1.
If the Lady Eagles can score and eliminate fielding errors, they will have a bright outlook for the rest of the season.
Tyrone is currently 0-5 but is hoping to walk away from Wednesdays’ game with a win.
