Senior of the Week: Mackenzie Latchford
Eagle Eye: What are your plans after high school?
Mackenzie Latchford: “Attend Clarion University and go for a bachelor’s of science and nursing (BSN) degree, plus run for their track team.”
EE: Who do you admire most? Why?
ML: “My grandmother, Ethel Wolfe, because she’s been through a lot, yet she still pushed forward and worked hard for what she wanted in life.”
EE: Favorite food?
ML: “Fajitas”
EE: Favorite class/teacher? Why?
ML: “Health Technology with Mrs. Taylor because her class has been very beneficial to me in furthering my nursing career.”
EE: What extracurricular activities are you involved in?
ML: “Varsity Soccer, Varsity Track and Field, HOSA, YAN, NHS, and Golden Revolution.”
EE: What is an item on your bucket list?
ML: “Travel the world or skydive.”
EE: What advice do you have for underclassmen?
ML: “Never back down, always keep your head up, and don’t let fear stop you from stepping out of your comfort zone.”
EE: Hardest class? Why?
ML: “DE Statistics because it’s a college-level class.”
EE: What are some of your high school accomplishments?
ML: “High Honor Roll, Altoona Mirror Athlete of the Week, First and Second Team All-Star, and placing at Districts for track and field.”
EE: What will you miss most about high school?
ML: “I will miss my friends the most after leaving high school.”
