Senior of the Week: Grace LeGars
Eagle Eye: What are your plans after high school?
Grace LeGars: “I will attend Penn State Altoona for two years then finish at Penn State University Park with the hopes of majoring in meteorology or earth sciences.”
EE: What will you miss most about high school?
GL: “The atmosphere of it. My daily interactions with friends, teachers and peers.”
EE: What was your favorite class//teacher why?
GL: “Metalworking with Mr. Vancas. The class was a break for me from all my other classes. I could relax and make things out of nothing which was very rewarding. And Mr. Vancas is clearly the best.”
EE: What are you looking forward to after graduation?
GL: “Life’s opportunities.”
EE: Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years?
GL: “Hopefully working a full-time job but still having time to travel. Possibly starting a family.”
EE: Do you have any advice to underclassmen?
GL: “Don’t let high school slip through your fingers and enjoy every second.”
EE: What extracurricular activities are you involved in?
GL: “POPS Extension, Drama Club, Varsity Cheerleading, and Ski Club.”
EE: What’s your favorite non vulgar word?
GL: “Simplicity.”
EE: Mac’s Market or East End? Why?
GL: “Definitely Mac’s. It’s just better.”
EE: What are some of your high school accomplishments?
GL: “2x UCA All-American Cheerleader, National Society of High School Scholars member, NHS member, Mr. Yoder’s ‘You make us Tyrone Proud’ visits.”
EE: It’s been a long ride, are you ready for it to come to an end?
GL: “Yes and no. I’ll miss it, but everything comes to an end.”
