Tyrone students, staff, and members of the community will gather tomorrow morning, September 28 at 7 am to celebrate the annual See You at the Pole National Day of Prayer.

The event began in 1990 as a grassroots movement with just ten students praying at their school. It has since grown into a globally recognized student-run event with thousands of students across the nation and around the world participating.

Locally, this year’s gathering was organized by TAHS juniors Bree Paul and Riley Walk.

“I feel that it is important to represent Christ at all times. It gives us an opportunity to join all believers and pray for our school,” said Walk.

Walk and Paul would like to invite anyone interested to attend.

“One of our main goals is to let everyone know that it is not just for students. The community is welcome to join as well,” added Walk. “Donuts and coffee will also be provided.”

Due to COVID, See You at the Pole has not been held for the past two years, so organizers are hoping that this year they can start to revitalize the event.

“Through the years, See You at the Pole has slowly become a thing of the past. We want to bring it back and make it better than ever,” said Paul.
