The Golden Eagle wrestling team traveled to Philipsburg Osceola for the Mountaineer Duals over the weekend, where they amassed a 2-4 record. Of the 7 teams present, Tyrone placed 5th.
The record may not reflect it, but Tyrone had some standout performances.
Junior Kyle Scott went 6-0, beating Freedom Area’s ZeShawn Williams with a 17-2 tech fall in his first contest. Scott’s second match featured a first-round fall over Midd-West’s Nolan DeLong, while he received a forfeit in his third bout against Greater Johnstown.
