Renaissance Club selling Christmas cards for Flight 93 National Memorial
Make somebody smile while donating to a great cause this holiday season.
Do you want to spread some holiday cheer with your friends, family, and anybody special this Christmas while supporting a good cause? You can!
The Renaissance Club is selling Christmas cards at all lunches from December 1-20. The cards are 50 cents each and come with a small treat. Write a little note and let that person know that they are appreciated this holiday season. Buyers have the option to deliver the card themselves or have Renaissance Club members deliver their cards on December 21 and 22.
All proceeds will benefit the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, PA.
“We decided on the Flight 93 National Memorial. The kids were excited about picking the memorial since they chose it on the anniversary of 9-11. A letter from the memorial came to my house in the summer, and I thought it would be a nice charity for us raise money for and aim a goal towards,” said Renaissance Club adviser Mrs. Cynthia Isenberg.
According to the memorial’s website, “A gift today will ensure that Flight 93 National Memorial remains accessible, relevant and inspirational to present and future generations.”
Isenberg and several club members came up with the idea of selling Christmas cards as the club’s annual service project.
“We do a service project every year for the community since they fund the Renaissance Club. This is our way of giving back to the community in some small way,” said Isenberg.
“We sold candy canes in the past for the holidays, so this year we came up with something different to switch it up. I wanted to do something where people could share a small gift but with the most profit margin for the charity we chose so we can donate as much as possible to them,” said Isenberg.
