Register for TASD’s Second Annual Color-A-Thon

Tyrone Area Elementary and Middle School will hold their second annual Color-A-Thon on May 6, 2017. Registration begins at 10am and the run will start at 11am. The run is open to Tyrone Area School District students as well as individuals throughout the community.

The Color-A-Thon is a 3k walk/run without timing. There is a twist, though. Throughout the run, participants will be covered in powders of all colors, leaving them covered in a barrage of different colors. The powders are made of corn starch and various colors of food dye, all of which are completely non-toxic.

The cost to participate in the run is $30. The first donation level of $30 will give participants a t-shirt, a color dye pack, and a blast bag. Students have received packets and information regarding the event, and they must obtain pledges for the Tyrone Color Blast prior to the event itself. By raising money and gaining donations, students have the opportunity to earn multiple prizes including color blasters, rainbow wigs, and rainbow tutus and socks.

While you can register the day of the event, the deadline for preregistration is Friday, March 31.  Only those who pre-resister will receive an official Tyrone Color Blast t-shirt, color packs, and a drawstring backpack.

The run will benefit the Tyrone Elementary and Middle School Positive Behavior Support Program. The Positive Behavior Support Program provides assemblies, reward days, and fun activities for students who excel academically and make positive decisions. The donation goal for the Positive Behavior Support Program is $10,000.
