Red Cross Blood Drive Coming to TAHS
The fall blood drive will be on October 4
The annual fall Red Cross Bloodmobile will take place on Thursday, October 4th, from 8:30-2 in the high school gymnasium.
Students can sign up in all school lunches at the end of September.
Interested donors need to be at least 16 with parental consent or 17 without parental consent. Donors must also be in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds.
“It’s important to give blood to help others in need because you never know, you could be saving someone’s life,” said senior HOSA treasurer and Health Tech III student Olivia Barr.
This event is also open to the public. Community members who would like to donate can schedule a time by clicking the link below:

According to the eligibility list, at the link provided below, in the height/weight category, you can not donate blood unless as a female you are 5’6″ and at least 110 lbs. Now as for the males, you only have to be 5’0 and weigh at 110 lbs. Why aren’t the women accepted at 5’0? I’m only 5’1″ and at least 120 lbs. Please get back to me if you figure out why this is.
