Prom Registration Deadline is Friday, April 14

The 2017 TAHS Prom will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Altoona Heritage Discovery Center in Downtown Altoona from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm.

All forms and fees, paid in full, must be turned into Mrs. Marasco in room 238 for the 2017 Junior-Senior Prom between the dates Monday, April 10th and Friday, April 14. The absolute deadline for all forms will be Friday April 14, 2017.

Important information regarding the prom is as follows:

  • A junior or a senior may invite ONE guest. The guest has to be a student in grade 9-12 at TAHS, a TAHS graduate under 21, a student under 21 enrolled in a GED or with a GED Certificate, or a student from another district in grade 9-12.
  • All students and their guests attending the prom are required to complete the “Prom 2016 Registration Form” or “Prom 2016 Guest Registration Form”. To download forms, click the links below. These can also be found outside Mrs. Marasco’s room 238.  Forms and fees for couples should be in the same envelope. If forms and fees are not placed in an envelope, they will not be accepted.
  • If you do not attend school on May 12th, you will not be permitted to attend the prom.  Dismissal for students will be 10:30 a.m.  Students must submit a written excuse from a parent/guardian to the attendance office by Thursday, May 11th to be dismissed at 10:30 a.m. for prom preparations.
  • Table sign-ups will be on Thursday, April 20, 2017 in Mrs. Marasco’s room 238
  • All guests from outside of TAHS must submit proof of age with their guest registration form. This includes the following: The guest’s picture, ID (it can be a copy of a valid driver’s licence, military ID or ID card)  If the student is under the age of 16, they must submit a copy of their current school ID card. This identification will be required for admission to “Prom 2016.” – NO exceptions.
  • Prom/Guest fees are $40.00 per person. Every person attending prom must pay these fees. Fees are non-refundable! (Check or money order should be made payable to TAHS).
  • All detentions must be completed in order to attend prom by Monday, May 1st.  All outstanding bills and fines must be paid in full by Monday, May 8th, 2017 to the main office to attend the prom.
  • Any student on suspension on the date of the prom will not be permitted to attend.
  • Formal dress is required throughout the entire event. No jeans or casual wear is permitted. Dress shirts must be worn and buttoned at all times.
  • Admission tickets, royal court voting tickets, parking pass, and other pertinent information will be distributed to all students attending the prom on Monday, May 8, 2017, in the cafeteria.
  • Prom attendees will be announced during the “Grand March” (voluntary), which will begin at approximately 6:45 p.m. in the corridor beside the Kazmaier Center in Downtown Altoona.
