With a chance of rain in the forecast for Tyrone’s prom on Friday, one of the most difficult decisions is where to go for stunning photos that won’t get dresses wet and muddy or hairstyles ruined.
To help, Marraras Mountain Lodge, a local wedding and event venue in Port Matilda, will open its doors to all TAHS Prom attendees at 3:00 pm on Friday, May 16, for prom photo opportunities, no matter what the weather brings.
“Anyone going to the TAHS prom is welcome to come. We think this is a great opportunity for people to take pictures because the weather is forecasting rain,” said Tyrone junior Paige Carper, whose family owns and operates the lodge.
There will also be food and drinks available courtesy of Bake Shop Bakes.
The best part is that there is no charge to use the facilities or for the food. Everything is compliments of the Marraras Mountain Lodge and Bake Shop Bakes.
The lodge features a large mountain stone fireplace, a wood spiral staircase, and beautiful oak flooring for a rustic cabin feeling, perfect for photo opportunities.
The outside is very scenic, with open, grassy fields, a wooded forest area, and a one-acre spring-fed pond.
The address is 2797 S Mountain Rd, Port Matilda, PA 16870.
