Ninth graders go back to the 1920s
Mrs. Burket’s history classes dressed up and portrayed historical figures for a 1920s party.
Ninth grade students held a 1920’s themed party on Thursday October 10th as part of Mrs. Suzy Burket’s US history class.
The party was filled with laughter, good food, and memories. Many the ninth graders dressed up in costume representing a 1920’s character for the occasion.
Ninth grader Lily Williams, who dressed as Zelda Fitzgerald said “We should have more parties in the future, it’s fun, and it was a great way to get a taste of the 1920’s.’’ She also added that they had ‘’really great food.”
“It is more fun than just reading about famous people of the 20’s” said Burket. “It’s so great seeing all the kids dressed up like their character.”
Jacob Fetters, also a 9th grader, agreed that it was great seeing all his friends dressed up. Fetters said “the 1920s party was really fun. The party went so great that having one in the future shouldn’t even be questioned.”
The day full of partying ended as a success. Many students remembered to dress up, bring up their props, and bring their snacks.
