Neff Highlights Weekly Supervised Agricultural Experiments
This week’s SAE highlight stars Zachary Neff, a freshman from Tyrone Area High School. His Supervised Agricultural Experience plan consists of observing the aging of bananas. Neff was curious about what factors affect the aging of the fruit. He hopes to learn what practices we could use to preserve the bananas.
As of now, Neff sees himself as a veterinarian after high school. Next year, he hopes to enroll in the Animal Science Agricultural Program to provide him the skills and knowledge a veterinarian should possess. Neff is currently undecided about where to attend college, but he is looking forward to majoring in veterinary medicine.
“My favorite lesson in agricultural class was about the structure and function of plant and animal cells,” reflected Neff.
