Multimedia Classes Create Digital Music Video
Students in Mr. Garrett Tanner’s brand new Multimedia Class class are unleashing their creativity on a music video project.
“[In this project] the students learn how to solve programming challenges and problems using online platforms such as Scratch, which was developed by MIT and Construct 2,” said Tanner.
So far students have enjoyed being creative with their videos.
“I learned how creative some of the quiet kids are,” said senior Nathan Hormel, who thinks Brandon Albright should win because his project is so artistic. “It could realistically be a music video,” said Hormell.
Junior Bryce Bauer learned that working with computer code is not as difficult as he thought it might be. “[The project] allows us to be creative and make anything we want and it’s fun because you can experiment with new things,” said Bauer. Bauer thinks he should win because his entry is simple but goes with music. According to Bauer, his video is classic and colorful.
Sophomore Denver Light also liked the concept of the project. “It was fun. I could do what I wanted,” said Light. He thinks he should win because he has four different songs, and the people in his video dance.
Tanner is looking forward to future projects and is hoping to have another link added for students to go and play the games his classes also create.
At the end of the semester, Eagle Eye readers will have an opportunity to vote for the best final projects in this class. The winner will receive a prize pack courtesy of Mr. Tanner.
