Mrs. Suzy Park will be retiring this 2013 school year. She stared as a full-time teacher at Tyrone High School in 1999.
Park attended State College High School and graduated from Penn State University Park with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical education kindergarten through 12th grade. Also a Master’s degree in Environmental Education.
“Mrs. Park is a very free spirited teacher and is very easy going” quoted Alayna Hettinger, senior.
After Park retires, she plans on spending time with her husband and family. Some activities she plans on doing are traveling, hunting, fishing, backpacking, playing guitar, boating and participating in activities with her church.
“Sometimes it is a challenge to keep the students motivated to keep active”, stated Park.
Park enjoys teaching high school students because of the maturity level and more advanced skills.
“A memorable moment is when an entire class is participating in small games enjoying what they are doing with pure joy and laughter”, exclaimed Park.
