Eagle Eye: Why did you choose to participate in the band?

Meaghan Foster: I think that Marching band is fun, and it has a lot of good people in it.

EE: What instrument/role do you play in the band?

MF: I am the section leader of the Saxophones. 

EE: What was your favorite part about being part of the band?

MF: Probably going to all of the competitions and being surrounded with people like me. 

EE: What was your favorite memory from band?

MF: My first ACC´s we walked off that field crying knowing we did the best that we could. 

EE: What do you plan to do after graduation?

MF: I plan on becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon. 

EE: Do you think you will continue to participate in the band/color guard?

MF: Probably not, I liked being a part of it, but I want to spend my time in college studying.

EE: How has being part of the band impacted your life?

MF: Being part of the band has made me work harder to keep my grades up. With a busy schedule, it is so easy to forget that you have homework. 

EE: What would you say to people who want to be part of the band?

MF: Go for it. DO what makes you happy.

EE: What advice would you give to younger musicians/guards?

MF: Don’t forget to practice, practice makes perfect.
